2024 Paint to Music Winners

In January, the Symphony League received art from 936 students from 38 schools and 22 home schools in the San Antonio area. Students listened to movements in Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky (arr. Ravel) and created art based on the music. Nearly 120 students were awarded a prize - 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Place or Honorable Mention. Six pieces of art also received these prizes:

• Best of Show, Elementary Grades

• Best of Show, Middle and High School Grades

• 1st Prize - Old Castle

• 1st Prize - Ballet of Chicks in their Shells

• 1st Prize - Great Gate of Kiev

• San Antonio Symphony League Pick

Congratulations to all the participating students and these winning artists. Many 1st Place winners, pictured below, attended a reception at artpace, where they and their art were recognized.
